Inspired by a Mini Collage Collective collage haiku open call for International Haiku Day, in celebration of one of Japan’s most cherished traditions. These twelve original haiku were created from Sandal English’s 1989 recipe book ‘Fruits of the Desert,’ and the portraits were handmade from art book cutouts, vintage ephemera, and ‘Cut Me Up’ collage magazine pages, from allison anne, Ruben Frejo, Helen Kauder, Sally Rifkin, and Monica d. Church.
